Study Plan Checker (the web tool)
The Study Plan Checker runs entirely inside your browser. When you upload a spreadsheet or paste course codes, that data is read and validated locally, by JavaScript running on your device. It is never uploaded to any server, stored, logged, or shared with anyone, including us. Closing the tab discards everything.
The site loads a small number of static files (the programme rules and course catalogues) from its own hosting. No cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts.
"Study Plan Checker – Exam Extractor" (the browser extension)
The extension is a companion tool for faculty reviewing student study plans on Politecnico di Milano's internal pages. It does the following, and nothing else:
- It activates only when you click its toolbar icon. It has no standing access to any page and runs no code automatically in the background or on page load.

On click, it reads the exam table on the page you are currently viewing (the
6-digit course codes and their "soprannumero" status), using Chrome's
activeTabandscriptingpermissions, which are scoped to that single tab for that single action. - It deliberately does not read the student's name, email, matricola, grades, or any other personal information visible on the same page, even though those appear alongside the exam table.
- The extracted exam codes are shown to you in the extension's popup, and, if you click "Open in checker", passed as a URL parameter to open the Study Plan Checker in a new tab with those codes pre-filled.
The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any data. It has no backend, no analytics, and no third-party integrations. The only place any data goes is from the page you are viewing into a new tab of the Study Plan Checker, both of which run entirely in your own browser.
